What excursions are there during arctic cruises on the MV Ocean Atlantic?
There is no shortage of unforgettable experiences to be had during our arctic cruises. Those that are setting sail in the north of the Atlantic will enjoy visiting the Nasaasaaq mountain. Further north you’ll sail past icebergs at Disko Bay, visit brightly coloured houses at Sarfannguit and venture through deep valleys to Kangerlussuaq. Enjoy optional excursions such as an aircraft ride or boat trip to the Icefjord and 4x4 trip to the Reindeer Glacier.
Those wishing to sail south will enjoy a truly magical journey through imposing icebergs and dark blue sea, where the mountains meet the water. This continent is home to a huge variety of majestic wildlife that you will have the opportunity to spot, including polar bears drifting on ice floes, seals, birdlife, whales and walruses to name a few. During our arctic cruises on the MV Ocean Atlantic, you’ll visit Tierra del Fuego Archipelago, where you can enjoy whale safaris and explore the seabird rockeries on the South Shetland islands.
What accommodation can I expect on board?
The accommodation onboard is comfortable and stylish, with twin or double beds, private bathroom, safe, TV, bedside table and hanging space. There are 103 cabins in total across four decks, each priced according to their size and location. The majority have outside views so you can watch the world glide by from your own warm retreat.
What facilities are there on the MV Ocean Atlantic?
The facilities on board the MV Ocean Atlantic offer a comfortable and cosy environment in which you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. It is a large vessel at 459 ft, with five decks and two lifts, boasting plenty of spacious areas for guests to enjoy. Head to the panoramic lounge or observation deck to feast your eyes on the magnificent arctic landscape, sit in the lecture theatre to listen to daily briefings from tour guides, or enjoy a little TLC in the sauna, pool and gym. The restaurant serves tasty meals with a buffet breakfast and lunch, and table service for dinner.
